The GF Partnership adds to its portfolio of quantity surveying services

The GF Partnership has added a new service to its portfolio of quantity surveying services and is now providing support to Turnaround Managers and Insolvency Practitioners in their work with construction companies in distressed situations.

With expertise and knowledge of construction contracts, claims, forms of procurement and contract and payment valuations, the company can offer a valuable service at each stage of the insolvency process. The main area of support will involve assessing funds at risk in relation to debtors, work in progress, retentions, disputes and settlement of accounts. Adjudications can also be undertaken where appropriate by the GF Partnership as the team of specialists includes practicing adjudicators and arbitrators.

‘Insolvency support is a specialist skill requiring a thorough understanding of JCT and NEC contract forms', commented Derek Mynott, Managing Director. ‘Unfortunately the current economic climate means that there is an increasing demand for our skills in this area.
