Recruitment Process

You can either apply via our on-line application form, attaching your CV or contact us on 01234 353900 to talk to us about your requirements.  We are always happy to help you and look forward to hearing from you.

CV
It is vital that you provide us with an updated CV.  Make sure you have contracts completed in the last 10 - 20 years with details of employers, project type, value and length, also setting out your duties and responsibilities.

Referees
We need you to supply us with the details of 2-3 employment referees from your latest employers on your CV, detailing their name, company and telephone numbers to enable us to contact them.

Interview
Once we have received your CV we will contact you to undertake a telephone interview.  This will enable us to establish how we can assist you work wise and will also give you the opportunity to find out more about the GF Partnership and our quantity surveying jobs.

Selection
Once we have reviewed your details we can look at the placement opportunities available for you and propose your details to suitable clients.  If our clients consider you a good match for the quantity surveying support they require, we set up an interview for you to meet with them to discuss the project and their requirements in more detail.  This may take place at contractors’ sites or offices.

Success…
If our client considers you a suitable candidate to support their project, you can work with the GF Partnership on either an employed, contract or freelance basis.

Working with the GF Partnership

First Day call
When you start a new quantity surveying support role with the GF Partnership, we will contact you on your first day just to make sure that everything is going smoothly with your new placement.

Timesheets
Remember to record your daily hours on your timesheets.  This must be submitted back to our Bedford office after client approval to enable effective control and issuing of your payments.

During your placement
We will endeavour to contact you on a monthly basis to establish how things are progressing with the placement.  We aim to keep in regular contact with our quantity surveyors and our clients .

We also like to visit quantity surveyors whilst on assignment as it is important for us to meet the client team and see the projects being supported.  The level of service we promise to our clients and the service they subsequently receive generates our reputation.  Therefore all quantity surveyors working on behalf of the GF Partnership play a vital role in meeting our client’s expectations and in securing future business for both parties.

Flexible working
The GF Partnership permits you to take a flexible approach to your employment and we are happy to re-engage our quantity surveyors after a break from work.  We do ask, however, that once you have commenced on a project, you see it through to completion.

Needing some technical support ?

If you have any issues of a technical nature then please contact us and we will happily answer your questions.  The GF Partnership is managed by quantity surveyors with extensive experience of working with main contractor.  We are therefore able to provide direct technical support to our surveyors at all levels of experience during project placement.
