Measurement

An understanding of measurement is an essential part of the quantity surveyor's tool kit, yet there is some evidence that today the basics of measurement are not being taught to the same level as 20 years ago on university and college courses.

We have recently produced two short papers describing basic measurement principles for Excavation and Earthwork Measurement, and Measuring Concrete Foundations and Beds. These are published here for anyone who has a gap in their knowledge or would like to brush up on their technique.
