Vision & History

The Company

The GF Partnership Limited was incorporated in May 1998 to provide quantity surveying services and contractual support & advice to main contractors in the construction and civil engineering industry.  The company was headed up by Graham Freeman, formerly a senior QS with Morrison, and Derek Mynott, who began his career with Bovis and subsequently worked at Willmott Dixon, bringing 23 years experience as a main contractor QS.  They recognised a demand for professional, experienced surveyors to provide interim support on contractors’ projects, enabling them to cope with fluctuations in workload or resource shortage.  The company employed 15 staff and recorded a first year trading turnover of £1.4m. 

Today, the company has over 75 surveyors and consultants engaged by our three divisions and achieved a 2006/7 turnover of £4.4m.  Our operational headquarters are based in Bedford with geographic coverage including London & the Home Counties, South-East, South and the Midlands.

The GF Partnership approach

Our management team fully understands the daily demands, pressure and challenges that can arise for managers in trying to maintain a full project team, whilst working to budget and deadlines.

When a client engages a GFP surveyor or consultant, our intention is for that individual to work for our client as a member of their own team.

However, no individual surveyor or consultant works isolated from GFP.  We maintain regular contact with the surveyor or consultant and client during a project and we provide direct support in all issues where they may consider it necessary.  Technical support is available from our management team, along with mentoring of surveyors undertaking RICS or CIOB qualifications. 

We are determined to deliver 100% satisfaction on every project that we handle and are confident that the quality and professionalism of our staff can achieve this.  We are very selective about the surveyors and consultants that we engage and place a high value on work ethic, loyalty and a pro-active attitude.
